There are so many  methods of meditation, and it is often hard to say which method is the right one. When you are dealing with self realization, there is no universally accepted procedure which applies to all human beings without exception.

All you need to do is try out the numerous meditation methods and find the one which suits you best. How will you find out which method fits you best? Only you can give the answer to this question. That is why the final choice lies with you.

When choosing the method of meditation, always keep in mind that you should feel comfortable when you are meditating. Some find it very comfortable to meditate in a particular manner. However, others may find it next to impossible to do so.

No matter what anybody says, your meditation experience will probably not be a good one just because you opt for a recommended method. In the same way, a new method does not automatically render your meditation useless.

Focusing on the Present

In this method, you meet your present without thoughts, feelings and judgments. This may sound very easy but the detachment required is very difficult

Concentration on a Single Object

Some prefer this method which involves focusing on a single object. The term single object can be taken literally to mean one object. Or it can also be understood as seeing the entire universe as a single object.

Positive Force

A positive energy is needed to make your life better. It is only likely to happen when you keep a positive outlook with regards to yourself, the situation that you are in, and the relationships that you have. Reality is said to be the manifestation of our actions, thoughts, and beliefs. If you incorporate a positive feeling and action in your day to day activities, there is a high chance of eliminating the negative vibrations.

Life caters to a domino effect. If you think black, you will get black. Yet if you think the other way around, you will reap what constitutes your thoughts. Better understand it this way. The more positive psychic energy you incorporate into your life, the more optimistic rewards you will be endowed with. Such is only possible as you dwell into a deeper form of meditation.
